A Phenomenological study on career perception process of middle school students

Abstract
The motivation of the current study is to better understand middle school students¡¯ career perception process. 11 students were recruited from three middle schools located in Jeonbuk J, K, I Cities. Following through Giorgi¡¯s phenomenological study method, a total of 270 meaning units and 27 corresponding subfactors were examined and 9 factors were finally derived. These 9 factors are ¡®Sense perception of career¡¯, ¡®Perception of career impact to yourself¡¯, ¡®Career perception experience in the process¡¯, ¡®Emotional awareness related to career¡¯, ¡®Effort to achieve their career¡¯, ¡®Interactive experience with someone¡¯, ¡®Sense perception of career education¡¯, ¡®Experience and emotional of career education¡¯, ¡®Needs and expectations of career education¡¯. The discussion was further elaborated in terms of career counseling and program for middle school students.
